By car, from the south: Head north on Route 684 until it ends and blends into Route 22 North and proceed about 8 miles. Pass straight through the two stoplights at the Patterson A&P: we are another 1/4 ahead on the right, the white building across the road from Abruzzi’s restaurant.

By car, from the north: Route 22 south through Pawling, two miles south from the Route 55 intersection and just into the Patterson. Great Blue Outfitters is the white building on your left, across from Abruzzi’s.

By car, from the east: Route 84 West to just across the CT/NY border to Route 684 North/Route 22 North, then as above from the south.

By car, from the west: Route 84 East to exit 18. At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Route 311 and proceed 5 miles to the intersection of 311 and Route 22. Turn left onto 22 North and go about 1/2 mile. Great Blue Outfitters is the white building on your right, across from Abruzzi’s.

By train: Metro North (Harlem Line) serves Patterson, Pawling, and Wassaic (the start of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail). Go to www.mta.info to check the schedules. GBO is less than five minutes away from the Patterson station. We are glad to pick you up and drop you back off from there or other local stations at the end of your day.
Be sure to check out our Metro North One Day Getaway deal!

metro north to great blue- a great choice!

NOTE: If you are interested in hiking the Appalachian Trail and do not need any of our services, you can ride Metro North directly to the tiny “Appalachian Trail” platform stop  in Pawling on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The trail is literally right there. Check the schedule and plan your time accordingly, as service is very limited. Miss the train and you may be camping out, whether you planned on it or not!
